In an effort to alleviate any fears that RedBk will be listing the private numbers of individuals, President and CEO of RedBk Jamaica Limited, Carol Pryce told the gathering of Corporate CEO’s and Entrepreneurs at the company’s launch last week that “Let it be clear, however…. just in case there is any concern. We shall not be listing the private numbers of individuals. Persons who choose to be listed in RedBk will pay an annual fee.”

Speaking of the company’s plan Ms. Pryce told the gathering that “Our purpose is to expand the Directory Advertising Market and – by extension – increase the market reach for all of RedBk’s advertisers and users, by listing both mobile and fixed/landline numbers from across the spectrum of network providers: Claro, Lime, Flow and Digicel. “This is how it will work: We shall publish five directories in the five RedBk-specially defined regions across the island. The advantages of this approach include the fact that the books will be smaller and easily portable; the content easy to read; and the advertising rates affordable. So, without a doubt RedBk will be bringing the advertisers and subscribers in closer contact with the communities in which they operate and serve.”
