Juici Patties and Wisynco Group announce new beverage supply agreement

Mr. Mahfood believes the relationship comes as a result of strategic development of Wisynco’s product portfolio and success in developing brands and customer relationships. Wisynco delivers its beverage brands in convenient packages and is the leader in many categories. WATA, the largest beverage brand in Jamaica, will be supplied to all stores in both its purified and cranberry flavoured formats. This product will be jointly branded with the Juici Patties and WATA logos on the labels.

Kingston, Jamaica; Juici Patties has partnered with Wisynco in making the beverage company its sole supplier of carbonated beverage. Wisynco will provide Juici with all beverages through its WATA, Schweppes, Bigga, and Coca-Cola brands.

Mr. Jukie Chin, Chairman of Juici Patties and Mr. William Mahfood, Managing Director of the Wisynco Group, advised of the five year agreement during a press conference on Monday, October 1 held at the Head Office of Juici Patties Company in Clarendon. The agreement enhances Wisynco’s position in the local beverage market and offers Juici Patties customers a wide array of the brands they have come to love.

Mr. Chin, the driving force behind the successful food chain, expressed that his franchise had ambitious growth objectives with new stores set to open and plans to generate sales within existing stores. He feels that Wisynco is the ideal partner to assist in this growth because of its experience, expertise and huge portfolio of beverages and other food items.

The Juici Patties chain of 60 restaurants is the leading fast food chain that offers Jamaican cuisine throughout the island. Wisynco is one of the largest distribution companies in Jamaica.

Mr. Mahfood believes the relationship comes as a result of strategic development of Wisynco’s product portfolio and success in developing brands and customer relationships. Wisynco delivers its beverage brands in convenient packages and is the leader in many categories. WATA, the largest beverage brand in Jamaica, will be supplied to all stores in both its purified and cranberry flavoured formats. This product will be jointly branded with the Juici Patties and WATA logos on the labels.

The Juici outlets are currently being outfitted with state of the art dispensing equipment to offer customers the best possible carbonated beverage and juice drinks at all times.

Grace Stockholders To Vote On 3-for-1 Stock Split Today

Shareholders of GraceKennedy Limited will this morning meet to consider and, if thought fit, approve a recommendation for a three-for-one stock split.

If approved, shareholders will receive three stocks for each one that is currently held.

According to group CEO Don Wehby, the stock units with a market price of J$115.00 per stock unit prior to the split will now increase threefold with an initial price of J$38.33 per stock unit

He says the stock split would allow GK’s stock to be made available to more investors while further enhancing the market for the shares.

Ahead of this morning’s Extraordinary General Meeting, GK last week issued 59,360 additional GK shares.

UK Loses S&P Triple A Rating

The UK has lost its top AAA credit rating from ratings agency S&P following the country’s vote to leave the EU.

S&P says the referendum result could lead to “a deterioration of the UK’s economic performance, including its large financial services sector”.

Moody’s cut the UK’s credit rating outlook to negative.

Caribbean Hotels Named In Jetsetters’ 2016 Best Of The Best

Three Caribbean hotels have been named in US-based travel and lifestyle magazine Jetsetter’s 2016 Best of the Best awards.

The list which was published recently, highlighted the world’s 20 best hotels in categories ranging from Best Over-The-Top Luxury to Best Safari Lodge.

Included in the list were Antigua and Barbuda’s Barbuda Belle Luxury Beach Hotel, Anguilla’s Zemi Beach House Resort & Spa, and St Lucia’s BodyHoliday.
