on

The Peer Awards Foundation is pleased to announce that the 7th official presentation of The Caribbean Peer Awards for 2010 will be held May 19th 2011, in New Kingston Jamaica starting at 7pm with cocktails and the Main Presentation at 8:00PM – 11:00PM

The Foundation Board considered and has agreed to present starting this year the Brand Master Award and the Break Out Brand awards.

Breakout Brands are brands from the region that now have a major impact and presence on markets outside of the region and designated international brands. One (1) of these brands and the individuals/corporations responsible for their success will be honoured and designated Caribbean Peer Awards Breakout Brand at the 2010 Caribbean Peer Awards Gala Event.

Peer Awards Brand Master is an Individual or Corporation who has clearly and without question demonstrated an ability to conceive and launch brands successfully and profitably, that have stood either or both, the test of time and competition. We will present one (1) such award at the event.

Nominations are now open for the other 20 categories on the official website www.peerawards.com.jm

About The Caribbean Peer Awards

The 7th staging of this event will, as it has in the past, attract professional marketers and advertisers from all over Jamaica and the region. This will be a red carpet and Black Tie event and is expected to attract an estimated 150 attendees.

The Peer Awards Foundation will be using this and subsequent events to raise much-needed funds to undertake the work of the foundation going forward.

The goal of the Peer Awards Foundation is to make the event regional. Having staged the event in Jamaica since 1998, with the last staging in September 2006, it was felt that competing on a regional level would be far more beneficial for all concerned. It would also provide a platform and avenue for more regional cooperation.

The real benefit of a regional event such as the Caribbean Peer Awards is that it encourages everybody within the industry to strive, excel and be recognized. This is presently lacking and the Caribbean Peer Awards will be one such avenue.
