Michelle Chong’s Honey Bun Limited has reported a 61% increase in net profits for the second quarter of the 2015-2016 financial year compared to the same period in the previous year.

According to the company’s financial statements, for the period ending March 2016, Net Profit was 49.4 million dollars.

Meanwhile, profit before taxes for the quarter was 52 million dollars, representing a 65% increase over the same period last year.

Chong says this was a result of increased revenue and control on cost-to-revenue ratios.

She says year to date export sales have also continued to increase with reports of a 20% increase over the corresponding period.

However, Chong says it should be noted that due to seasonal variations the first and second quarters are normally more profitable than the third and fourth quarters.
