First Global Bank has opened a new branch in Ocho Rios to be led by local banking executive, Arlene Williams.

The new branch, located in Soni’s Plaza in the business district on Main Street features the second of the bank’s (and the Caribbean’s) Video Teller Machines (VTM).

The Video Teller Machine, allows live tellers at First Global’s Teller Centre to interact with customers inside the Ocho Rios branch and complete up to 95 percent of transactions typically completed by tellers at counters.

Along with the Video Teller Machine, the new branch features a Multi-Currency Dispenser and an Intelligent Deposit ATM which will give customers access to a suite of automated services that will take convenience to another level.

Williams says the Multi-Currency Dispenser will allow customers to withdraw Jamaican, Canadian and United States currencies from their accounts.

She says this feature allows FGB customers to execute cross currency transactions, conveniently buying the offered currencies at the daily exchange rate.

The Intelligent Deposit ATM will “recognize and validate inserted notes for immediate cash deposits, without the hassle of a deposit slip or envelope”.
