The David Ogden Award for Best Director of the Year – TELEVISION COMMERCIAL
This award will be presented to the Commercial Director whose creative inputs, shows innovation and originality, and also positively enhances the total effect and look of the television commercial. The well directed commercial is one where all the elements come together in a seamless whole, and yet still remains effective in presenting the product or service being advertised. The director’s awards should also take into consideration the performance of the actors in the spot, where relevant.

“The Force” is a 30 second brand-building spot. It is done as a spoof of the science fiction genre – a sort of Star Wars meets Star Trek. Technically, it stands out in that the entire set is virtual.
