Corporate Movements – Mrs Ann-Dawn Young Sang Appointed President & CEO Supreme Ventures
Approximately ten months after the passing of its former President and CEO, Brian George, Chairman of the Supreme Ventures Group, Paul Hoo has announced that the company has identified its next President and CEO.
She is Ann-Dawn Young Sang, Regional Vice President for the Caribbean for International Game Technology, IGT, the world’s largest lottery operator and technology partner for SVL since the Company’s inception since 2001. Mrs Young Sang will be the Company’s first female CEO.
“I’m really pleased with Mrs Young Sang’s appointment, which received the Board’s unanimous approval,” said Mr Hoo. He continued, “Brian (George) came to SVL from GTECH as well. The companies have such shared history and work so closely together that the synergy is seamless. Ann-Dawn is therefore uniquely qualified and positioned for the position, understanding already the nuances and specificities of a very complicated industry. We know that she will do an excellent job in her new role.”
A Certified Public Accountant with over 20 years’ experience in the field of Accounts, Finance and General Management, Mrs Young Sang began her tenure with IGT (formerly GTECH) as the Finance Manager, Jamaica in 2001. She was soon promoted to the position of Country Manager, then to the post of Regional General Manager for the Caribbean, before being appointed to her current position as Regional Vice President (RVP) for the Caribbean. She holds a Master’s Degree in International Business and Finance from Fordham University and sits on the Board of Directors of the American Chamber of Commerce.
“This year has been a historic year for SVL in terms of our record financial performance for the first and second quarters of this year. 2017 will also now go down in history for us as the year we appointed our first female CEO. We know that with the addition of Mrs Young Sang to our already strong Management Team, we will keep on our winning path throughout 2017. We welcome her and wish her all the best when she takes up her new role in October,” Mr Hoo said.
