Facebook Closes In On 2 Billion Users, Q1 Revenue Soaring 49% To US$8.03 Billion
Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg, in a recent statement is reporting that they had a good start to 2017, as Facebook closed in on 2 billion users, while topping Wall Street estimates for first-quarter revenue, soaring 49% to US$8.03 billion, easily coasting past analyst consensus of $7.83 billion.
The results are said to be sending a strong signal that marketers are continuing to plunk down more ad dollars despite growing concerns over the spread of fake news and violent, graphic videos on the platform as the appetite for mobile advertising on the world’s largest social network showed no sign of abating.
