The Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) will open its first Caribbean investment office in Trinidad and Tobago later this year. According to a release from the Trinidad and Tobago Ministry of Planning and Development, the Minister of Planning and Development, Camille Robinson-Regis successfully lobbied the IDB to establish an Inter-American Investment Corporation Office (IIC). She says the IIC initiative is expected to provide direct benefits to businesses in Trinidad and Tobago while contributing to the development landscape by providing opportunities for joint venture projects and public private partnerships.
